Mission
Salama Dada Initiative (SDI) is a non profit community based organization in Nairobi, Kenya. It that was founded in April, 2011 with the aim of providing holistic healing to survivors of violence, abuse and torture. “Salama” and “Dada” are Swahili words meaning “Safe” and “Sister”. Through counselling and psychosocial support we assist survivors of violence, abuse and torture to heal and safely integrate in the community.
2nd Corinthians 1:3-4: Praise be to the God and Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
